Sajjan Foods
Sajjan Foods is a Dubai based food processor and trading company focused on sourcing raw materials across Africa. Due to the COVID-19 lockdown and lots of business shifting their supply chain away from China and India, Sajjan Foods decided to reach out for alternative suppliers with cost-effective benefits.
Agricorp (Nigeria) through its deep farmer cooperative structure sourced for 120MT Grade A Dried Split Ginger and exported same to Dubai and South Africa during the lockdown. Both companies are signing-off on a long term agreement that would see Agricorp procure 2,400MT of ginger during the harvest season and then schedule deliveries to Dubai and South Africa for FY2021. This will reduce cost for Sajjan Foods by 15% and ensure year-round supplies.
